Singapore Institute of Statistics (SIS) is a professional non-profit organisation established in 1976 with the objective of promoting the advancement of statistics and its application. It has been a constituent body of the Singapore National Academy of Sciences (SNAS) since 1980. Through its activities, SIS aims to encourage the improvement of education and training in statistics, and to facilitate the exchange of information about statistics and how statistical methods and techniques are applied in diverse disciplines and contexts.

To these ends, SIS has co-organized events such as the Pacific Asia Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Conference (PAKDD) in 2007 and 2008, providing a forum for international exchange of ideas in data mining, data visualization and statistical knowledge systems. Consistent with its belief that market research conducted with appropriate use of statistical methodologies in key to effective marketing, SIS is proud to have been an Association Partner for the Youth Marketing Summit and a supporting organization of the MRSS Asian Research Conference organized by the Market Research Society of Singapore. Since 2009, SIS has been the local organizing partner for the annual EcoMod Asia course on computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling, advancing the use of CGE techniques for economic impact analysis.
