Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC) was established in March 1970 as a national body for the chemical profession in Singapore.  Since, it has served the interest of chemists and maintained a high standard of professional competence and ethical practice in Singapore.

SNIC organises conferences, professional meetings, seminars, symposiums, talks, congress and exhibitions.  It is also is a partner society of the Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES) and publishes in Chemistry, an Asian Journal, and Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry.

SNIC also forms partnership with many chemical societies such as RSC and chemical societies in the region to encourage collaborative work between members.  To promote chemical education in the country, SNIC actively organises various outreach activities e.g. National Chemistry Week, competitions and talks for the participation of students or the public.

SNIC also provides opportunities for members to interact in less formal occasions through annual family days as well as other meeting platforms.
