Young Scientist Symposium 2026 is an annual event co-organised by the SSBMB, Science Centre Singapore and sponsored by the Department of Biochemistry, NUS Medicine. It celebrates the gaining of scientific knowledge, experience, independence, and other research skills through a research symposium presented by Polytechnic students in Singapore.

Join us for a special farewell talk by Professor Huck Hui Ng, Distinguished Principal Scientist at A*STAR’s Genome Institute of Singapore.
In this talk, Prof Ng offers a personal reflection on this extraordinary scientific epoch. It chronicles a thirty-year journey operating at the vanguard of molecular, cell and disease biology, functional genomics, and institutional capacity building. The narrative traces the early evolution of molecular biology research into cellular and nucleic acids therapeutics. Finally, the discourse navigates toward a dynamic new strategic frontier: the technological and academic renaissance of Central Asia.
Asian Alliance for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (AASCRM) Webinar Series 2026 (virtual)

Trilateral Conference of Advances in Materials Science (TCAMS) 2026

MRS-S will be leading a delegation of 12 distinguished scientists from Singapore to Beijing to participate in the Trilateral Conference on Advances in Materials Science (TCAMS), to be held from 27–29 March 2026. The conference is hosted by the Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS), with participation from representatives of Materials Research Society of India (MRS-I).
Scientists from C-MRS, MRS-S and MRS-I will present their latest research findings through invited lectures, providing a valuable platform for scientific exchange and strengthening trilateral collaboration in materials science.
